From the middle of nowhere to further into the middle of nowhere!

We have now entered lands where you have to pay them $10 each just to open fuel bowsers then $3.00 (cash only) a litre for diesel. However, it is now too far away to turn back so we have to just go with it. We actually suspect a spotter may have seen the dust of 8 4WD vehicles coming and closed the town, then said that they always close on Thurs arvo. We wondered if this might happen every day if they see a large group of diesel hungry cars!

Today we travelled from west of Papunya to Jupiters Well, passing through Kirrakurra (aka the land of expensive fuel).

 Some sights along the way:

A landcruiser we assumed had been left for dead, in the middle of the road near Kintore, but the back end of our crew saw some trying to resurrect it (or maybe they were getting spare parts?)

The WA border

Lunch at maybe what was maybe Native Well, WA - GPS and maps were not quite sure where we were.

Len Beadell's truck - he was the person who surveyed all the highways out here, of which Gary Junction Rd is one..... that sometimes looks like this!!!
