Day 1

The Storers and Murphy's made it to Renmark after meeting in Mildura. We spent a lovely night by the river with a lovely campfire.  Some might call it a mere lemongrass candle. Thank you Dors for providing that fire. 😀

Our main event for day one was really the satellite phone adventure. In Shepp nice and early, picked up phone from shop, after only Mark's name and phone number were taken. 'The boss is away and I don't know how to do a hire phone,' he was told. We head off across the causeway and we are wondering what all the cords were for. It was an in-car phone, so back we had to go. In the meantime, the young guy in the shop had rung the boss for clarification. We can only imagine that conversation when he told his boss he'd let someone take what looked like a brand new sat phone, with only a name and phone number for security!
